Jamsheed Choksy’s article in this weeks Foreign Policy online basically says one thing– our protests, our dissidence, and our united voices against the Islamic Regime are working, and we must keep it up!
The truth of the matter is, Iranian civil disobedience is the only way to counter the social, cultural and political oppression in Iran today. Leaders like Ahmadinejad and Khamanei make a mockery of human life, and their regressive, 15th century values are creating a country of stuck in chauvanism and barberism. We DO NOT WANT THIS.
Since 1979 the Mullahs have been trying to force secular, freedom loving Iranians into a jail where Shiite Islam is the metal bars holding us captive. In 2010, is this really happening? Is religion really because used to control a country of 80 million people, a majority of which are under the age of 30? We could do so much with our youthful energy, our knowledge, and our drive to be a friendly member of the international community.
Keep protesting, keep raising your voice, keep telling the Islamic Regime that it does NOT resprent us!
Support the opposition! Support Human Rights in Iran!
